New study reveals the secrete of an ancient super predator
Before 250 million years ago, a huge creature present on earth in todays African continent. The name of this huge creature is Anteosaurs. Anteosaurs was one of its most ferocious carnivores. It had massive, bone crushing teeth and big jaws.
Anteosaurs was not a dinosaur. It is belonged to dinocephalians is a family of mammals like reptiles. But they died about 30 million years before the first dinosaur existed.
But because of their skeletons heavy architecture, scientist has always assumed that Anteosaurs was a rather sluggish, Slow moving animal, they are only able for ambushing the prey.
The university of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in south Africa described Anteosaurs as a " a ferocious killer-hunter".
They used X-ray imaging and 3D reconstructions for better understanding. In creating the most complete reconstruction of an Anteosaurs skull, they found that overall, the nervous system of Anteosaurs was optimized and specialized for hunting swiftly and for strike .Its prey included large herbivores like Moschongnathus, small lizard like animal, large amphibian or even other carnivores
They change our understanding
Dinosaurs were once believed to be slow-moving animal, sluggish animal, they don't able to move their body outside from water for a long time.
But the new technology and because of the new invention its better to understand of the 'old animals biology'
