The biggest animal in the world

  • Meet the biggest animal  in  the  world

The blue whale is the biggest animal in the world. This magnificent marine mammals rule the oceans at up to 100 feet long and upwards of 200 tones weight. Their incredible size is only possible because of their aquatic lifestyle.

Blue whale eat tiny shrimp like animal called krill. During certain times of the year, a single adult blue whale consumes about 4 tons of krill in a one day.

  Scientific classification:

  Kingdom - Animalia
  Phylum - Chordata
  Class - Mammalia
  Order - Artiodactyla
  Family - Balaenoteridae
  Genus - Baalenoptera
  Species - Balaenoptera muscules

Blue whales look true blue underwater, but on the surface their colouring is more a mottled blue gray and Thier underbellies look yellowish because millions of small small organisms take up residence on Thier skin.
Blue whales live in all the world, except the Artic. The blue whales is very fast swimmer they cover more than 5 miles distance in one hour. But they accelerate more than 20 miles in one hour. The blue whale is the most loudest animal in the world. Blue whales hear up to 1000 miles away. But scientists think that they use these vocalisations not only communicate for other whales but also to navigate in lightless ocean depths.
But, unfortunately blue whales were one of the hardest hit species by commercial whaling and because of that the number blue whales is decreasing slowly. So it's our responsibility to save this animal.

Blue whales have few predators but are known to fall victim to attacks by sharks and killer whales, and many are injured or die each year because of contact with large ships.
Every animal is part of our nature, if anyone die in that it affects the all entire life chain.
